AARP Hearing Center
Hi @panosh , I have no idea why this “inbox” thing bothers people so, but it seems to bug people a lot.
It’s made to look like a real email box from AARP, and shows a number beside new “stuff” they want us to read. Or not. I go the Or Not way, and just ignore the whole thing. The number goes up, the number goes down, I ignore it. It has no affect on me. I don’t read it. You can’t delete them anyway, and after a certain amount of time they go away anyway. If the number in red bothers you cover it with paper. The whole thing is a gimmick anyway to get your attention.
Correct, they are still there, can’t be deleted, but the act of just scrolling them, or reading them, the number attached to the inbox goes away, which seems to be the thing that bothers people I think. But they are still in the inbox, the number disappears though after doing that. It’s futile, really…unless you just don’t want to see the number attached. Then I guess it’s an exercise one needs to do. I’m fine leaving it hanging there.
