Help Researchers Better Understand Aging and Well-Being

Hi everyone! My name is Star. I’m helping with a UC San Diego research study focused on understanding how older adults seek support for emotional and mental health concerns.

We are looking for adults in or around San Diego who may be experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety, including thoughts that life may not be worth living. The goal of this study is to better understand what helps—or gets in the way of—seeking support, so that we can improve resources and services for older adults.

You may be eligible if you:
• Are 60 years of age or older
• Have experienced symptoms of depression or anxiety
• Currently have thoughts that life may not be worth living
• Have never been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder
• Are able to provide informed consent and speak English

Participation is voluntary, and all responses will be kept confidential. Eligible participants may be compensated for their time.

If you or someone you know may be interested, please complete our brief interest form:
