AARP should cut ties with The Hartford Insurance Co

The Hartford Insurance co is the WORST Insurance company in the US. I've dealt with several insurance companies for over 40 year and have never had one try to extort money from me and increase my policy without notice or my permission. And then have the never to tell me I owed them money after prepaying $924.50 on the day I signed the insurance application. Within 2 weeks they increased my policy and deleted my Quarterly payment arrangement and setup an increased monthly payment with increased monthly service fees. From 2 weeks of having their "insurance" I have been on the phone trying to get a clear and reasonable explanation from their agents and not one person could tell me why this was happening. Just empty promises about the issue would be corrected. Then another week or 2 it was the same issues and more. after 6-7 weeks of noting but incompetent people and dealings with a shyster company they sent me a notice saying they were going to cancel my policy for non payment of $12.75. But also saying I could reinstate the policy by either paying the $12.75 or $240+ dollars from past due amounts not paid. Now mind you, I've only been "actually covered for June, July and the first 2 week of this month (Aug). So if I paid them for 3 months in advance, how do I owe them anything? I guess they thought I would just pay the $12.75 and accept their illegal increase. It's like their entire process is a "BAIT and SWITCH" Get you to sign up thinking you are getting a lower rate and then 2 weeks in , they automatically increase your rates and hope you don't notice if you have "Auto-Pay". Which fortunately for me, I removed the AUTO-PAY right away after I saw the un-authorized increase. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!
