Agree, but I walk around and don’t even listen/watch them. Other platforms you have two sometimes, so these aren’t as bad here. The 60 second ones are annoying, but I just walk or exercise between them when I’m gaming. It is annoying, I get it though

@AnnB732679 wrote:Why must I watch/wait through 60-second ads now before being able to launch a game? Where's the Skip Ad button? I don't mind 15-second ads but a full minute every time I start a game is ridiculous!
There is a way to banish all ads on AARP'S GAMING PLATFORM.
Add ADBLOCKER PLUS to the browser you use for AARP.
It is simple to add to your browser as I was able to do it and I am as computer challenged as they come.
You will get no ads before, during, or after a game....ever.
AND IT IS FREE!!!!!

@AnnB732679, NC is correct. I followed their advice and installed AdBlocker (the original version; now AdBlocker Plus) probably 5 years ago and have had zero issues or regrets.
Thanks again for that great advice, NCTarHeel!

I have started getting the same thing recently and it is for every time you play a game. 3 1/2 minute purple ad. I play the games for mental exercise being 75, but now I get so frustrated waiting for the game that I can't play it anymore. I thought AARP was suppossed to be about out health and well-being rather than how much money they can rake in. I have already had trouble with other AARP recommended partners overcharging for their services and AARP continues to be more about MONEY yhan the well being of it's members. If this is going to continue then I will stop coming to AARP's site altogether.

Good for you @dd98032427 !!! IF more members "refuse" to watch these VERY LONG ADS, AARP would get the "message" = this would REDUCE the revenue AARP is getting from the ads. Take care, Nicole!

@shamit and Ann @AnnB732679, members being made to watch the ads generates revenue for AARP.
