House Flip is a unique home renovation game that lets you pretend to purchase real estate, improve it, and see if you can score!

What is the goal of the game?

The goal of the game is to clean, repair, and upgrade your new home so you can sell it to another user. With your success, you can get another house to flip!

How do I play?

To begin a round of House Flip, click Play. You’ll see some listings. Click “Buy” on one you like, based on the amount of money in your bank account (and keeping in mind you’ll need to spend more money to make renovations. You’ll see a house floorplan with many clickable icons, each of which corresponds to a part of the house that you can inspect, clean, repair, or upgrade. You have five minutes to make the upgrades you’d like by selecting an icon, choosing what you want to do, and then playing the minigame (such as cleaning a window). When you’re satisfied, click on “Open House” in the bottom left of the screen to view your offers and accept one. Hopefully you make a score that you can bring to your next purchase!

What kind of minigames are there?

When you’re renovating, you have to get your hands dirty – and that’s no different in House Flip! Depending on what you want to do, you might find yourself hammering nails, washing windows, cutting wood, rolling carpet, and much more. In each case, the game will tell you what you need to do. Often, the actions involve clicking and dragging your mouse (or your finger on your mobile device).

Does every activity have a minigame?

No. Some, like inspecting or repairing existing items, just have a price tag.

How much time do I get per level?

For the starter houses you’ll get five minutes to make all your renovations. As you graduate to larger houses, you’ll receive more time. While renovating, you can click the “add 5 minutes” button at the bottom of the screen to get more time, after watching an ad.

Can I play without a time limit?

Yes. From the main menu, click “Play! No Time Limit.” After you watch an ad you’ll be able to renovate while you’re not on the clock.

Do the houses get bigger over time?
Yes. While the cheaper houses you can start with usually have just one floor with a few rooms, larger, more expensive houses have multiple floors, patios, and additional rooms.

Will I have more success over time?
You can! Larger houses will cost more to renovate but could lead to big rewards.

Can I see my progress?

Yes. From the main menu, click “Progress.” You’ll see all the houses you’ve flipped so far, along with how much you spent, sold, and profited on each one. You’ll also see this screen after selling a house.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your overall total of money is saved across flips and across game sessions.

Can I reset my progress?

Yes. If you want to reset your progress and start all over, click “Reset Progress” from the Progress screen. You can get to this screen by clicking “Progress” in the main menu, or you’ll get there after selling a house.

Can I earn additional rewards?
Yes. While looking at the listings page, there is a button in the bottom left corner that says “Earn $100,000.” Click it and watch an ad to receive your cash infusion.

Can I turn off the sound and music?

Yes. From the main menu, click “Options.” From there, you can toggle off the sound and music separately.
