How does scoring work in 2 Minute Mini Crossword?

When you complete a game of 2 Minute Mini Crossword, you’ll receive a score based on the time it took you to finish the puzzle – the faster you finish, the higher your score! (Don’t forget to play the daily game, which gives a point bonus.) However, your score isn’t refreshed each day. In fact, scores are only reset every month, so the more games you play, the higher your overall score will be – and you’ll need to come back each day to get onto the leaderboard!

I love this new game, but I’m getting a little discouraged - every time I go back to play, my previous work is gone. There are no solved puzzles showing, score is zero, etc. What am I doing wrong?
