Hey Nicole,

Interesting list for the young outdoorsy type but not us AARP folks.

I would have to disagree with at least a third of those selections, just based on the fact that they are so far up north that they would be physically dangerous for us older folks.

Nebraska, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin.... come on now!!!!

I don't know of any older person that would want to put up with the winters those states experience.

You'd either get frostbite, have a heart attack from shoveling snow, or get killed trying to drive in icy, snowy, conditions.

I disagree.  Those states are dangerous for the elderly or for anyone for that matter.  California, New York, Illinois???????  Come and visit and tell me you want to live among the homeless, the crime and the filth.

@Tempest332 , I do not how "middle class" folks can afford to live in Florida.

Neither can I.

Wouldn't mind returning to Utah for retirement (if I have to live in a place with snow, it wasn't all that bad), though I never could, the housing prices have exploded there.

Really surprised where Minnesota is.

I could see where Florida is where it is, but you "pay" for that sunshine.
