Unable to earn ANY points (AGAIN!) on Thu 1/23
After logging in, any activity I tried showed the checkmark in the AARP Rewards circular banner, and the banner was desensitized, indicating the activity had already been "completed", and no points could be earned.
Also, at the top of the activity list webpage, it showed:
"Maxed out like a pro
You've reached the daily point limit of 7,500. Well done, you overachiever."
And there were no points awarded for logging in, or for visiting the staying sharp webpage.
If a chat is done with an agent, they just keep suggesting clearing cache and cookies as the REASON for the problem. REALLY???

Once again, at about 6pm CT Thu 1/23, all activities to earn points became "active" for me. Also, sweeps and instant wins could be entered (instead of stating the contest had already been entered).
I was able to watch videos and take quizzes and earn points. This was just like Wed evening.
I believe (like others) that the AARP system now starts the 24 hour timer at the time the user completes the first point-earning activity, instead of at midnight of whatever time zone.

1/24/25 8:13am CT: I now have PROOF that AARP is resetting the 24hr timer when the individual completes activities, instead of resetting it at MIDNIGHT.
On Thu 1/23, I had to wait until after 6pm CT to earn points, because that was about when I started earning points on Wed 1/22.
I earned points until I was JUST SHORT of earning the maximum, and then stopped on purpose, as a test to validate my theory.
This morning, I started watching videos to earn points. I watched two videos that showed 300 PTS in the circular banner, and was informed I had earned points. Upon completion of watching a THIRD video with 300 PTS shown in the circular banner, the banner STILL showed 300 PTS, and the message box stated (INCORRECTLY):
Sorry, no points this time.
You didn't earn any AARP points because you already completed the activity.
If I duplicated the tab in the web browser for that video, the new tab showed (INCORRECTLY) the checkmark inside the circular banner, and the banner showed to be desensitized.
The Transaction History webpage showed the two videos that earned the points with TODAY's date (1/24). The history did NOT show the third video that was watched TODAY.
Also, when I went to a quiz list webpage to earn points for taking quizzes, it showed at the top:
Maxed out like a pro
You've reached the daily limit of 7,500. Well done, you overachiever.
And...the circular Rewards banners to the right of the quizzes showed the checkmark inside instead of 450PTS... for ALL of the quizzes in the list.
So AARP is claiming that I reached 7500 points for TODAY (1/24/25), when the Transaction history for TODAY (1/24/25) only shows TWO videos at 300 PTS each!!!
I also tried this morning to enter a sweeps and instant win that I had entered Thu night, and was told I had already entered them. NOPE. NOTHING was in the Transaction history for today.
AARP, WHEN are you going to get this FIXED???
AARP, you owe me 6900 points for today, since you are now BLOCKING me from earning any MORE points.
And AARP, I am unable to do a private message because there is no private message option available (A support ticket has been opened for THAT issue).

I believe the clock reset is when the site managed to come back up on Monday January 20. Then they don't post the new Instant win until Midnight Eastern Time. It makes it all confusing and a total mess.
Currently when you go to the "Earn Points" and filter it with "Videos" and "Earn Frequency" it goes from Daily Activities to Monthly Activities. All the Weekly Activities aren't shown. You can find some of them by doing a search (if you happen to know the title), but some aren't showing up at all. Just a new mess up. It just keeps getting worse.
And I am so tired of them acting like it has something to do with our account. It is THEM. It is really sad if they have to correct it individually on each and every account. If that is really possible.

Cookies and cache are not the problem. AARP IT is.
I completed all the activities earlier (after 3:20 AM central time) with no problem. Except for the date which was Jan 22 and not 23 for each activity.
Later I noticed that all the activities everywhere (except for games and tools and calculations) were now marked as completed; even the longest ones like the 55minutes or so videos which I certainly will never ever run!
