Poll: Today's Hurdle: No Rewards Points unless you win

I know we don't have a polling system, just curious if anyone else thinks about this.

I don't really care about not getting points once in a while for Today's Hurdle. I play for the sense of accomplishment and fun. The way it runs sometimes the percentage of words that you can guess in a two word chance is staggering.

  What bothers me:

The people that CHEAT will always get the rewards points. Those of us that don't,  get them sporadically. It is exceedingly easy to cheat in this game.

It's not like they are handing out gold bullion. We watch ads, play games for fun and like to get the points when offered.

So, @AARPTeri , any chance of reward points being offered for playing the game "Win or Lose"?

Is there anyone out there that thinks we should?

For the last 3 years or so, I've played Today's Hurdle almost every day, to challenge myself and have fun in the process. I must admit it's rather disheartening to see the daily leader board fill up with "perfect scores" of 16200 (in "Hard Mode"), and I wish there were some way that Admin could rein in the widespread cheating necessary to achieve those impossibly high scores consistently, day after day, often by the same set of users (who might or might not be actual AARP paid Members).

One suggestion to root out the cheaters would be to automatically remove all impossibly high scores (say, 15800 to 16200), and those users should be banned from playing Today's Hurdle for a month or so. If they return after a banning and continue posting impossibly high scores, those users could be permanently banned from playing the game. Just a thought, but something like this could work.

I usually get to the last page with only 2 guesses then miss out.  The final words are usually something that I find ridiculous.  Something I would never say or write.  Or the word ends with "aste" where its only luck if you guess its caste.

I too just play this because I enjoy it. Hardly ever get points and still play anyway, but if they say there are points involved maybe do certain points for each line solved as suggested below.

I don't think the points are right for Hurdle. You have to solve 4 puzzles to get to the end where you only have 2 chances at the winning word.

To me you should be given points when you get each word. 50 pts. for each work equals 200, then 100 for the final word.
