Me Again Ranting about Videos

Why is this so difficult for you to fix, AARP?? And why did you remove many of the weekly videos?

Of what videos remain, many many of the monthly and weekly videos 1) still open to that fire scene, 2) do not open at all when you try, and 3) will open and play but then do NOT give credit for watching.

Sigh......

I was also not getting the rewards points after watching a video. I was able to fix the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

A new issue, Videos that open up to "AARP’s CEO Shares Movies for Grownups Mission" AND don't give points!

Well, that certainly woke me up on a lazy Sunday morning!  Now, if the eternally revolving circle that seems to freeze my page when I'm trying to earn points would go away, this Sunday would be even better!!  I really hope AARP can fix their site; it is getting tiresome and discourages me from even trying the Earn Rewards - and, darn, I really wanted to watch some of the more interesting ones.

Well, I found a very tedious - almost not worth the time and effort - workaround to get past the frozen page with the eternally revolving circle.  I have to start on page 1 and then hit 'Next' to go to page 2 and then hit 'Next' to go to page 3 and on infinitum.  I can't put the next page number in the box and move forward that way; nor can I click on the next number (next to the page number that I am on) to go forward - that simply creates a page with the eternally revolving circle.  I think it's just about time for me to give up on the AARP quizes for awhile.

I'm not sure if my issue is the same as yours, but when I get the revolving circle, I clear all filters, and then I can see the list of videos and add a filter again.

Thank you for the idea, but I am so not techie that I really don't know what you mean by 'filters'.  Would you please give me a really simple explanation of what you do?  Thank you!

On the earn page, just above the start of the list of videos, there is a red bar that says "Filter By". Click on this and it opens up a list of ways to filter the videos. At the bottom of the list are two buttons, one for "Clear All" and one for "Apply". Sometimes I don't see the buttons and I have to actually select a filter, for example by clicking on "THEME" and selecting "HEALTH", and then I see the buttons. Click on "Clear All", which will bring you back to the list of videos. Again, I'm not sure if what is happening for you with the revolving circle is the same as what happens for me, so this may or may not help you.

Thank you so much for your very straight-forward, complete instructions!  It didn't exactly worked as hoped, BUT it did work in another way because now I was able to click on the number for the very last page and this time it didn't have that infernal circle - so, now I'm just going backwards through the pages ... lol!!!!  Again, thank you!
