Change in Points needed for Redemption

Did anyone else notice that starting in April a $5 Amazon reward went from 6,875 points to 9,000 points? This is one of the few rewards that I use so I was disappointed - that's an extra 2,125 points for the same $5 reward. I don't know if this happened with any other rewards?
