Rewards down, again?

Any idea on when the "newest" maintenance will be done for the rewards? I've encountered this issue 6 different times over the last two weeks. Trying to buy gift cards and nothing.

Has not worked for me either. I've said it before and now I'll say it again--It's a good thing this is basically free. The worst of it is once it is up again it won't work right for a month. oh well, easy come easy go I guess,

Since 12-03-24, I have been unable to redeem points; what I got was, "Unable to process your redemption request." I reported the problem to AARP and was told it would take at least 5 business days before anyone would get back with me. But up to now, nobody has gotten back with me. When I followed up, the rep told me they have "escalated" the issue. I guess escalating the issue means taking forever to address the problem. I should not be surprised as it took them 3 long weeks to handle the same problem that my husband experienced with his account. So pathetic!

Please do NOT say, "I can assure you that our investigation team is diligently working..." because that is far from the truth! If they have been, then it should have been remedied by now! Your response also only further shows that NOBODY has ever checked on my case despite the claim that my concerns were "escalated!" My email has been provided a gazillion times and was also included in the long transcript when I chatted with an agent on Dec. 5, 2024. Yet no one has ever gotten back with me since then, and whenever I tried to redeem points, the only thing that showed was: "Unable to process your redemption request."

It's 12-11 and I'm still getting error messages when I try to redeem points. The "under maintenance" signs are gone from the site, but I still can't enter any sweeps or instant wins. I did try clearing cookies, as the help section recommends. That didn't help.

@h875112s I'm so sorry you've had a poor experience with the Rewards site. Let's look into this together. Please send me a private message with your email address, so I can locate your account. Also, please let me know what error messages you're receiving. You may need to enable your private messages first. Steps to do that can be found here: https://aarp.info/47hWcl7  - Janelle M.

Private messages are turned on, but I the inbox just loads, flashing bars where I presume the message(s) are but nothing ever loads. There are no error messages on the inbox page. It just loads but nothing ever changes.

Regarding the original issue on redeeming my rewards points, that is also not working. Still. It lets me choose the point amount and hit confirm and the error message is "Unable to process your redemption request". The same thing happens with instant win, the redeem button appears, the slot machine animation plays then "Unable to process your redemption request".

All I know is that if this was my company's website, people would be fired!

Facts, but they are also likely doing this slowly on purpose.  They just ran a 9.99 membership deal.  People signed up to get discounted cards.  So they are mitigating the damages I'm sure.

No, the Rewards site is NOT working again! I am unable to redeem my points since 1AM. My husband was NOT able to redeem his points for 3 long weeks (Oct 29 - Nov 22, 2024).

It seems like it will be working well (actually for quite a while) and then "maintenance" makes everything go to hell for a couple months
