AARP Hearing Center
I made a reservation using Expedia/AARP and the date was off by one day. Called immediately to change, and got no satisfaction. Expedia/AARP kept the entire room charge for profit. Told me to try again using the date I wanted and pay again. This is like playing reservation roulette. Will never again use Expedia/AARP and plan to terminate my membership. Scams targeting seniors are a frequent topic in AARP publications, and AARP is running one itself -- go figure.
I have been a member of AARP and used their online travel service for the last three years. I have booked thousands of dollars worth of international trips. NEVER AGAIN will I use them to book travel. After many attempts to complete the booking correctly we finally made it happen. Without going into every detail and writing a book I can tell you that I had to go back and ask them why I wasn't given the promised incentive for booking through them and after speaking with the agent and then his supervisor I was told to contact another department. They were puzzled as to why I contacted them. Long story short is they are incompetent and are not good for their word! The old saying "stepping over a dime to save a nickel" must be what they were thinking? Now my travel plans will likely go to Booking.com!
