AARP Hearing Center
On the Restaurant Discount page it says, "15% off on the dine in & pick up orders." I have never had a problem with that until yesterday. I was told that the items we ordered did not qualify. I have never been told that before.
Upon my investigation of this, by having to click on the Denny's advertisement on the AARP discount page. I got this, "15% Off Your Check
Members save 15% on their checks every day—including diner classics and breakfast items. Maximum discount not to exceed $10." Then I had to click a "learn more" tab, but I also notice this at the bottom of the page, "You’ll leave AARP and go to the website of a trusted provider. The provider’s terms, conditions, and policies apply."
Clicking on learn more, I get this, "AARP MEMBERS GET 15% OFF
From your favorite go-to breakfast meals to our latest delicious creations, we treat our AARP members to delicious savings all day long.
Available only to current AARP members and at participating restaurants. Excludes alcoholic beverages, Everyday Value Slam®, Super Slam®, merchandise, gift cards, and orders made online. Not stackable or combinable with Original Grand Slam® promotions, $2 $4 $6 $8 menu items or any other offers or promotions. Maximum discount not to exceed $10.00."
Too me, this is an awful lot of clicking,, and follow up to find out the "bright red AARP GET 15% OFF" is not really true any more. I wish AARP would go back to Denny's and say,,,"If you said 15% off of dine in and pick up orders" , you meant it...maybe the one qualifier is no more than $10 total...but not just a discount on certain items.
Can someone from AARP respond to me on this subject?
What we have found over the course of the past year is that the 15% discount at Denny's ONLY applies to the very limited senior menu. At first we were very confused, but recent receipts from different restaurants show clearly that the 15% discount is only applied to meals ordered from the senior menu. AARP should make that clear in their communications.

[2/23/25] Thank you SO MUCH for "clarifying" things Judith & Jonathan @jmf49 .
And YES I agree, AARP should include this info. Would save us a whole LOT of unnecessary stress. Take care, Nicole 👵
