Requesting Tips on how to win sweepstakes
Question to those who have won a sweepstake, do you have to redeem the maximum each day? I've been trying and have never won one. TIA

I have seen posts from people who have won sweeps without using the maximum, but it probably lowers your odds of winning if you don't enter the max. I expect there are some sweeps that are more popular than others, so odds of winning will be lower for the popular ones since more people will enter those. I usually enter 1 or 2 $100 sweeps a month with the max entries, but have not ever won (been doing this for almost 4 years). I will sometimes enter the thousand dollar sweeps, but only with 1 or 2 entries a day, since I don't want to waste too many points on that and the odds of winning are almost nil (even with entering the max), but if I have points to spare I figure might as well use them there.

That sure is discouraging. Pretty much what I've been doing: using points and not winning sweeps. I appreciate your answer. More than likely I'll be avoiding sweepstakes unless I have extra points to burn. In another post someone had commented that they use their end-of-month points for magazines so they at least have something. That might be the best idea. Thanks

I enter a sweepstakes with the most entries per day for every day of the month. I won a $100 Walgreens gift card in June 2025 (sweepstakes for May), a $100 Chipotle in August 2025 (July sweepstakes), and another $100 Walgreens card in January 2026 (December 2025 Sweepstakes).
Before that I had only won one $100 card over 2 years before the ones I listed. And nothing before that. I have been on this site before the current company took over when it was called "Rewards for Good". I don't think there is any trick. You just increase your measly odds if you have more entries. That is why I choose a sweepstakes and do the maximum every day of the month.

I am the unluckiest person for everything in life except AARP Rewards! I have won a few sweepstakes and once it was with maxed out daily entries and another time it was with limited entries (maybe 5 per day). I don't max out entries if it eats up too many of my points or if there are only a few winners. I have won several instant wins as well, I always use the free method of entry for those. I just keep playing and hope for the best.

@DonnaPhotoArt Hi, to be honest, for me, I only use what I call throw-away points for sweeps and instant wins. I redeem my points to obtain gift cards. I donโt use money, but just points.
The one time I won on an instant win game it was when it was glitching out, and the tiles were moving at slow, jerky like speed. Never have after that. But, with that being said, just recently someone here mentioned in a post that theyโve won a $100 gift card. I canโt remember if it was instant win or sweeps, but that it does happen.
I liken it to playing the lottery; one day it can hit.
So to answer your question, I donโt think there is a trick or tip to it, in my opinion. I believe Itโs a random digital/computerized generator. Unless, of course, a conspiracy laden individual who thinks that if they piss off mods too much a flip switch gets initiated to block them from winning! lol! That would be opening up a new kettle of fish that could be fun to watch on the boards here! Popcorn time! Who knows that could be true, and so fun to unravel!
Iโd say for me, I do those instant wins and sweeps for fun, not expecting to win.
But you will hear of others doing quite well. Maybe theyโll spill the beans on their luck or skill(?). But then, by them doing so, upset their winning apple cart in the process?
Great topic. Looking forward to seeing other responses.
