Can you still reach your doctors office directly?

With my health plan you can't reach your doctors office directly, you must go through a call center and leave a message that can take a couple of days to get an answer.

Before I change plans,  are all doctors offices like this now?

Does your doctor's office have an online portal where you can set up appointments, see your test results, see/pay your bills and email your doctor?

During covid earlier days, I could reach out to my doctor with questions

and she reached out to me. Very helpful.

A lot of offices are having online portals now.

I have a number which I call and then prompts come up and I just hit the number Ex 4 to get to the doctors office and a receptionist answers..I put my question to her and she will either transfer or take a message then to the doctor or Phy. Asst. and they will get back usually by the end of the day or sooner if it's an emergency...There's always the option of pressing button #2 for a call back from the office..These days nothing is quick even with all this technology...
