Struggling to Find Adult Home Care

Hi everyone, I’m trying to find dependable adult home care for my uncle in Washington, but I’m honestly not sure where to begin. He needs some help with daily activities at home, and I want to make sure he’s getting the right support. I’ve been searching online but the options are a bit overwhelming, so I’d really appreciate any suggestions or guidance from people who have gone through this before. Thanks in advance..

Hi.  Mary, @marywilliams10

A great place to start is the Area Agency for Aging in your state you are looking for.  There are many in the state of Washington.  They can give you a direction I looked this up. —

“Washington state’s Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) are organized under the Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging.  They provide services for seniors, adults with disabilities and caregivers across all 39 counties “

Also Each state has great governmental resources, that can be tapped to gain helpful info.  This is one below for Area Agency for Aging
   Here’s a starting place for Washington.  https://www.agingkingcounty.org/

Also too, believe it or not, asking at the local library, and speaking with a Resource Librarian can give you great suggestions when one is unsure of where to turn.

Also too, be wary of soliciting posts on here.  Unfortunately, this place is public, and people trying to sell gadgets, home care, etc…jump into posts and advertise.  😉👍
