I have had my card refused twice at two different locations because they cannot scan my card. They do not have a way to manually click input my member number. How can this be resolved?? Can I get a card with a barcode??
Hello Bradley,
I went an checked my card and I was pleased to
find a bar code and magnetic strip on it. It was
not my first card, so, maybe I got an updated
card at some point.
You can print an AARP membership card and
it shows the barcode and can request another
card be mailed to you.
Go to:
https://secure.aarp.org/account/myaarp
(opens in new page)
you may need to login.
Make sure to click on "My Account" shown below:
There should be a large picture of your Card on this page.
And underneath, the picture of the card are two buttons
to click "Print Card" and "Mail Card." As shown from my
account below:
I hope this helps. You can print a card for now and
get another one in the mail if you choose both options.
Take care and I hope this works for you.
