***SOLVED*** When WE Ignore (block) PMs Question!

▶️AARP STAFF HAS ANSWERED MY QUESTION, DISCUSSION CLOSED◀️

I have only had to block 2 members so far (bullying). IF they had "continued" to message me, would THEY KNOW I have "blocked" them? 🤔

Thanks, have an AWESOME day/night - I AM! 💃🥳

When someone you've blocked tries to text you, you will not receive text messages from them. The blocked person also does not receive any notification that they're blocked.

@Anonymous

You can PM them and let them know you are going to block them.

(1 comment) Hi @cat0w , why would I do that? 🤔 I reported them to moderator and they told me how to "block" them. Problem solved! 🥳💃 Nicole 🙃

@Anonymous

You said, " I want them to KNOW they have been BLOCKED."

Glad you received the answer you wanted, and your problem is solved.

Not necessarily. If anyone that you have blocked attempts to PM you, they'd get an 'Access Denied' page. One would not automatically assume that you have blocked them; they'd just think that you have your PMs turned off. Hope that helps ease your conscious.

(1 comment) KellytheBelly What do mean? ‌🤔

My question has "zero" to do with my "conscious" = I want them to KNOW they have been BLOCKED.

And YES, you are correct, they DO get an "Access Denied" REPLY.

Totally different from "messages not set up" reply when a member has NOT set up to receive PMs.

The AARP Moderator just sent me a PM.

So, it seems you have your answer? If not, perhaps you can reiterate? What's the question, again? 🤔
