AARP Discount at Palm Coast FL Dennys

Just had breakfast at the Palm Coast Fl. Dennys. Bill came to $24.16. Gave the cashier my AARP card, She said it the discount was $1.12. Got home , looked at the bill, next to the AARP 15% WAS $1.12. iT ONLY DISCOUNTS THE DRINKS, NOT THE MEALS!!!!! What a rip off. Sent an e-mail to Dennys Corporate about this, being a franchise, they may not going by the rules. But if AARP card does not t the 15%, why have the card. Tried calling the restaurant , phones lines messed up went to fax.

I tried looking it up - and if the one you went to was participating - and found this:

This is an easy one but perhaps AARP Services csan get it straightened out - 

Both AARP and DENNYS say the discount is only available at participating restaurants - but trying to find out those is not currently available because Dennys has a technical problem or maybe with identifying which ones are willing to participate.

So for the time being this DENNYS discount is null and void - can we hear from you or AARP Services or DENNYS on this - when is it gonna be fixed?

Would there also be other restaurant chains like this?

I think what your members are looking for is honesty and perhaps some instructions on how the discounts actually are suppose to work and where. This isn’t as easy as just showing ones membership card since “participating” determines the discount and if that cannot be identified - what to do????

Check to see if this particular location is a “participating” location

Read the disclosure and then check to see if that location is participating.
