Should I retire if my mother has become single

Just recently, my father just passed away and I am 60.  I am worried that if I retire at age 60, which some people would consider that to be pretty stupid, I might not get the full benefits so my mom can pay the bills.  I know my brothers are always willing to pitch in.  I hope that the government can pitch in for if I get slapped with no choice.  My mother is nearing her 90s as well.

Seniors are just antique people rich with history.
