I’ve been listening to a “new-to-me” artist . . .

KT Tunstall Essentials on Apple Music

I saw her on the New Year’s Eve show from Times Square where she sang the iconic Imagine before the ball drop. She did it with only a drummer, herself on guitar and Marshall amp! She’s a singer-songwriter from Scotland whose been around since at least 2004. I’m glad I got to hear her sing because I’m really liking her music. Her bio says that she also plays keyboards and flute. Her genre is considered country, but sounds more in the folk-singer-songwriter category  to me. Some of her songs rock, too! (similar in style to James Bay)

This album is amazing! I love that heavy melodic metal, and Bruce Dickinson’s voice. At 63, he sounds as strong and powerful as ever. Apparently, it’s a long album by Maiden standards, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
