Songs About USING The Eyes...
This is an adjunct to the song title topic nyadrn began back in January, in support of glaucoma awareness month, songs with "eyes" in the title. I kept wanting to post song titles about what eyes do - how we use our eyes. So that is what this topic is about...

I guess we use the eyes to shed tears. I didn't realize how sad we were in the 1960's but we must have been because:
Tracks of My Tears- Smokey Robinson and The Miracles (1965)
As Tears Go By- Rolling Stones (1966)
96 Tears- ? (Question Mark) and The Mysterians (1966)
And while outside the decade of the Sixties, a song that still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. It was written in honor of his 4 year old son, Conor, who died when he fell 53 stories from an apartment window. The song is 24 years old (1991) and still catches my attention every time:
Tears In Heaven- Eric Clapton (1991)

Other than my lazy eye, I have been pretty lucky as I have gotten older except when something sad happens and then:
These Eyes Are Crying- The Guess Who
Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain- Willie Nelson
Of course, keeping in line with the reason Gator started this thread but not keeping in line with it's theme, there is:
Doctor My Eyes- Jackson Brown
