(1) What HELPED u on YOUR journey? ๐ค
(2) IN YOUR OPINION: What should folks AVOID while divorcing? ๐ค And after? ๐ค
Nicole ๐ (Late Life Divorce Forum)
(1) After a divorce, you'll go through an adjustment period, full of different stages and emotions. It's important during this time that you focus on taking care of yourself. Think about self-care like taking a relaxing bath each week or trying your hand at painting. Use this time to try new things.
(2) Unless there are "minor" kids involved, keep things "businesslike" and start to DISTANCE yourself. Now IF "minor" kids are involved, TRY to KEEP THEM as your focus and NOT yourself. Too many times those "emotions" (hate, anger and so on) are running through our heads and the kids get damaged.
