Dave…So that I understand correctly, you are the official AARP Moderator of this forum, when you claim that you are the Moderator…I am an Honored Social Butterfly also, not a newbie…I have dealt with AARP Moderators in the past. This forum is introduced by an AARP Moderator. I just do not see your name with an AARP Moderator designation. I would appreciate clarification on this matter. Thank you, williamb

 I am not the Moderater of Our Front Porch Group. I am a person that has maitained it and done most of the posting on all of the topics. 

I do it to entertain the people who like to see a senior joke, read a quote or view a lighthouse.

Most of them do not post on the internet but like what I post here. Some of the topics here have had around 800,000 views.

Do you or others want to take their entertain away from them?

They are not interest in the political debates that are taking place here now. Like in the past they will turn into peeing matches as they did in the past.

Dave is the member who actually started The Front Porch and the board is a place for peace, fun and harmony.  

Sometimes people will adopt a particular board and make it fly - Just like @Winter2024 has nurtured the Grief and Loss forum board 

Maybe your discussion on politics would fit better in the Entertainment Board -under Leisure & Lifestyles.  Or better yet, under the Money Board - Scams & Fraud -

It seems that this particular discussion heading has lent itself well to civil political discussion. It seems that the only way to draw forum members is the aforesaid political discussion. Otherwise, it was basically a ONE PERSON SHOW.

So, @DaveMcK, why don't you join the discussion that has almost 100 comments.

It is a shame that ONE PERSON can claim control of a DISCUSSION BOARD for which we all pay membership fees. It is almost like TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.

We have the bodyguards who speak for their clients who are hiding hoping you will go away and things can return to daily posts with clipart. Personally I like to chat with folks here. But some don't. [11/21/24] William @williamb39198 , I use to support his Morning Roll Call as there are and were (some left) some really caring folks. Get a kudo or a response to my post from him? Oh no. He will learn that once his 3 very loyal ladies are no more, that thtead will die like his others have. Up until how he treated you, I would still stop in - but no more. He has to kudo and respond = that gets the attention of folks. It is like, my time is appreciated. I am curious to see IF AARP ever "fixes" their Award Program. I feel so bad for folks who have NOT been able to earn/redeem points since October.  😱😱😱  While speak, I am sure lots are folks are leaving AARP or have already left.
