@Winter2024 You make me laugh. BTW, the sauna is rather hellish in this weather. @Rebecca2004 I too am in Ga. @Therapist4u Will look for your posts, I just cannot seem to get caught up.
Hubby diagnosed with sleep apnea. Ginger, 11 year old dog had small tumor removed, not cancer so all is well. @MsStretch Good to know you are doing well. OK , now going back to reading emails & posts I am behind on.

Hi again @LaDolceVita So... AFA “Will look for your posts, I just cannot seem to get caught up.” As previously mentioned it’s still hard to find & follow posts here....even tho you had ‘tagged’ me...I still got NO notice...I just happened to search all recent post on AARP... & lo & behold I saw yours! Nicole had a suggestion, & I...have no clue. I DEF DUNNO! HA! Maybe Dave can conjure up some thread just for us “frequent Porch Peeps” to FIND & follow posts better & comment to each other there when we can, as some aren’t able to come here but once or twice a week...
Anyhoot....MOST IMPORTANTLY.... Good to know Ginger’s small tumor was removed, & >>>>>not cancer!!! AFA HUBBIE....I’ve had sleep apnea before...but rejected one treatment that would have made me wear a tight mask every night ...with a machine & tubes & whatnot that had to be frequently cleaned...& if you have to go to the bathroom more than once at night, each time the contraption had to be carefully detached & then reattached....it can detect if ya ain’t wearing all the stuff ...as it monitors everything you do...too much crapola for me! That said, if it got more serious, I’d have to reconsider the pro & cons again....
Anyway, ....each case is different, so I’d like to hear what Hubbies Docs are suggesting.
BTW: I’M “competing with hubbie, furbabies, chickens, garden, sauna...” >>>>AND NICOLE...LOL!! 😄
Hope you & your FAM are doing well!
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND to Y’ALL!!
As always...Stay safe....&...Take care!

Hi Nicole!
What’s happening is that some of my FAV PORCH PEEPS, besides you & Dave @DaveMcK, are not seeing my replies to the messages they posted to me. For example, I wished a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY on 05-11-2024 and 05-10-2024 to @catwoman500 @MsStretch and @LaDolceVita & don’t know if any of them saw my messages.
like in these links: to @LaDolceVita https://community.aarp.org/t5/Our-Front-Porch/MORNING-ROLL-CALL-2024/m-p/2555911#M84978
to @catwoman500 https://community.aarp.org/t5/Our-Front-Porch/MORNING-ROLL-CALL-2024/m-p/2555914#M84979
and @MsStretch https://community.aarp.org/t5/Our-Front-Porch/MORNING-ROLL-CALL-2024/m-p/2555915#M84980
so if they happen to see this, I’ll say again:
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU!
Hope you’re all doing well! Please have a wonderful week too!
Stay safe....&...Take care!

Good morning to all of you FRONT PORCHERS out there! Do you have plans for a Summer vacation yet?
We will be returning to our timeshare at Lake Geneva over Labor Day weekend. Our family will be able to swim, golf, bike and walk.
We are due to have another boat tour of the lake again.
We fix most of our meals with everyone taking turns.

Got it, bought one camp like that, granite slabs, come along and a winch took care of it. Presently only one oak tree in green or budding out. Probably because it late Spring temp 44 and that’s with full sun.
I live but won’t be mobile for awhile, had to take a cross country ride ATV and will be paying for it, for a month or until temps remain in 60’s.Until then it’s med’s and PT.I’m not 60 anymore.
Attempted capture of Northern lights twice , not happening this time.,hope all are well, I’ll be off line for awhile movement is a nono except PT.

@Frozenoem , oh yes, I remember the ol' pinhole method. I also remember when we lived in Germany, we used a piece of smoked glass. NOT RECOMMENDED! Of course, at that time, we didn't know better. Not like eclipses happened all the time. This was long before the techie times. Wonder we didn't all go blind. Although who knows? Maybe there were residual affects, just hard to distinguish between that and old age. 😆

Thought about using over-exposed 220 films but, I had no problem seeing my iPhone lite thru film. That Bill Nue guy is dangerous.

Hey, Peeps,
@DaveMcK @Winter2024 @MsStretch @Therapist4u @Frozenoem
Did try to see the eclipse, but we had off and on clouds. I was in and out of the house trying to catch a glimpse. The glasses were good. I do remember in 1991 my husband and I were in Hawaii during a well-hyped total solar eclipse. We were on Kauai, and the best viewing was supposed to be on the big island of Hawaii, but they had clouds, so actually we saw it better than the folks who had planned the big expensive vacay on the big island expressly for the eclipse.
@Frozenoem ...At that time the glasses were not that available and so I had prepared the cardboard pinhole thing and it was fun looking at the crescent patterns on my husband's shirt LOL.
On Monday I enjoyed the 90% of what I could actually see. I wore my 33-year-old souvenir tee shirt from the Hawaiian eclipse.
Put one of the lenses over my phone and took a few photos.
This is the best one...you can kind of see the moon starting to come over the bottom of the sun....
It's kind of blurry but had to enlarge it so I could see it and therefore the blur.

Hi again @catwoman500
I chuckled at “I wore my 33-year-old souvenir tee shirt from the Hawaiian eclipse.”
I have more OLD clothes than new, some from the 70s...like my 1st tie-dyes, souvenirs from concerts (Jethro Tull, >>>>John Lennon & Paul McCartney, George Harrison & even Ringo>>>>(unfortunately... NOT together, but solo...still it was so wonderful & amazing to see them live!!!) Stones, Animals, Simon/Garfunkel, YES, ELO & ELP! ETC.)
Anyway, I think your ‘kind of blurry’ eclipse pic is still great, & wanted to ask what kind f lenses did you use? I know very little ...& I’ll defer to Froze, because I’ll bet he will jump in & expound upon more info, using his incredible wealth of knowledge...hope so....LOL!
Also.... thanks for all the kudos!
Hope you’re doing well!
As always... Take care!

@Therapist4u ...Allen,
What I meant by "lens" was that I took a second pair of the cardboard glasses and folded the lens part around my phone camera lens. One of the news stations recommended that so your phone or regular camera wouldn't get screwed up.

Hi again @catwoman500
I’m glad I saw this post....
as I still don’t get messages from...
or about... y’all ...
The BEST PORCH PEEPS: YOU, @DaveMcK @MsStretch @LaDolceVita @Frozenoem& @Winter2024
@LeeS4949 (& ‘OTHERS’)😉
not even when I'm 'tagged'!
anyhoot...
It can be hard to follow recent posts in this forum....as there's SO MANY🙂...& they are not necessarily ‘in order’ to me...like if you post a reply to an older post it won’t be at the top of this page in the most recent date 1st...it will be on down by scrolling ‘a ways’ according to when the original post was made. But unless you know when that was....it’s ‘hidden’ until you ‘luck out’ like I did now...anyways...
enough of >>> ‘’ <<<< ‘these’ 🙃.... LOL!😄
As always... Take care!

@LaDolceVita ...an arbor next to the pergola sounds lovely. Are you going to have something climbing on it? (and I don't mean critters!) LOL. I mean like clematis or climbing roses.
