Many states and local communities have dedicated Veteran's Day parades and activities to specifically honor Viet Nam Vets over the last few years.
Viet Nam veterans are long overdue for their recognition of service! I've noticed that so many of the Viet Nam veterans were the first to honor and thank many of our younger service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. It appeared these veterans made sure that no other veteran would be forgotten.
THANK YOU for your service you DID make a difference!
Before I retired here in Virginia, to be honest I was too rushed to notice the vets shopping at Walmart.
But since retiring, I now say hello and thank them.
Lol, some will tell you stories.
Here where I am, there is a HUGE hospital for them = alot of retired and active military.
I just luv how they PROUDLY wear their hats. That is how I know they are one.
I also thank their spouses as they also went through ALOT. Alot are helping spouses in wheelchairs. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
And you know what - EVERYONE has a "smile" as they thank me.
We can all learn from these BRAVE folks who have kept us safe. Sometimes losing their lives.
Thank you for your service!!!
