With my health plan you can't reach your doctors office directly, you must go through a call center and leave a message that can take a couple of days to get an answer.

A lot of offices are having online portals now.
I have a number which I call and then prompts come up and I just hit the number Ex 4 to get to the doctors office and a receptionist answers..I put my question to her and she will either transfer or take a message then to the doctor or Phy. Asst. and they will get back usually by the end of the day or sooner if it's an emergency...There's always the option of pressing button #2 for a call back from the office..These days nothing is quick even with all this technology...
