Where are my Airbnb Digital Gift Cards?

I purchased 5x $500 Airbnb gift cards last Saturday (8/17/2024). I was planning to use them to reserve an Airbnb listing. I chatted with AARP agent Monday morning (8/19), I told them that I needed to use the gift cards for booking and was told that it would take 24 hours during normal office hours to get them.

I checked the airbnb listing Monday afternoon and it was no longer available.

The listing has gone and now I am not even sure when AARP will send me the gift cards. I contacted AARP again this morning (Tuesday 8/20) and was told they could not give me a specific timeframe but would escalate this issue and have an agent contact me directly.

I am beyond disappointed at this point. Apparently multiple people in this forum had issues like this. I just can’t understand what is taking them so long to process those DIGITAL gift cards. And the fact that other members have had issues like this many times before is very concerning.

Is there anyone from AARP who can actually help us? Please

I’m having same issue with my Airbnb card I have called 2 times and it’s been 5 days. It’s a lot of trouble for the small discount.
