I started walking seriously when life as I knew it, fell apart. That was 12 years ago. Walking has helped me pick myself up and taught me that happiness is MY responsibility. Everyday is a new day to create balance. I walk daily to do errands, I hike weekly to stay fit and I hike long distances yearly to find retreat in nature and push the "reset" button on my body and mind. I manage a WalkingWomen50plus Facebook page, where I encourage women to take charge of their health and happiness. My book: "Walking Gone Wild" an inspirational guide for walking and hiking for women in the third phase of life", was published in 2018
