Tell us about yourself:
I'm a 68 year old (in 2023) male living the retired life near New Orleans, Louisiana with my 65 year old wife. We live on two SSA and 2 pension payments per month and have a few bucks in my retirement fund to fall back on when needed. I retired as an engineer from the US space program after 40 years. It was the kind of job I wanted as a kid and loved the work I did. My wife and I raised two wonderful kids that grew up into the kind of adults to be proud of. We're all still very close and enjoy spending time together.
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
Science, Physics, Amateur Astronomy, maintaining my saltwater reef aquariums. We raised two children who grew up into great adults and are now on their own and are working professionals; and fortunately living nearby.
