My 1099-DIV has $174.13 on line 3 (Nondividend Distribution). My software says it is nontaxable until the amount is equal to my cost basis. Should I omit it from my filing? Or enter the $174.13 as Nondividend Distributions? If I enter it will it caus...

I sold some stock and when I am filling out the form it asks for "Purchase Date". My 1099 says "Various". Will the IRS accept this for the date? or is that going to be a problem?
