Your "fix" seems to have nothing to do with the actual problem. On this page, it stays at the top of the window, but in the games, it slides down, obstructing the view. There is no "X" which will close that red banner than I've been able to find.

This seems to be a recurring problem. Why can't AARP figure out how to keep your banner at the top of the page? And what is the purpose of dropping it nearly halfway down the screen to obscure other content? Please, find a new website team!

Precisely. Some recent change to the website has caused this, and disabling ad blockers makes no difference.
