I hope to learn to relax and not feel guilty about it.

The habit I would like to develop is the gift of volunteering. I am a retired senior and soon to be an empty nester. As a late life parent, all my time has been happily dedicated to my daughter.  My daughter is beginning a new season in her life, but what about me? What will I do with the extra time in this new season of my life? I am very nurturing and I like to help people.  I see that the AARP website is a great resource for volunteer activities. My nest may be empty, but I can still have a full life helping others. I’m now excited about my new season.

I LOVE MY AGE - 53 !

Began walking 3 miles a day last July. But I need to STOP eating

after dinner!  I have only lost two pounds...must be my food choices.

Must eat more fruits and veggies!   Kim

I have gained 30 pounds since menopause! I plan to add 30-45 minutes of brisk walking and decrease my sugar and carbohydrate intake to decrease my risk for Diabetes.

I recently had bariatric surgery and the pounds are falling off, but I'm having a hard time committing to a daily, or even thrice weekly, exercise program. I've joined a gym, but getting out in the snow and the cold is a problem.

I want to get back on my exercise routine after several months away from home while my spouse receives cancer treatment.  Still working on the treatments, but hopefully will be home again soon.
