F. A. T. FACE YOURSELF, ACCEPT YOURSELF, TRANSFORM YOURSELF PART 3

Message 1 of 1

Facing ourselves does not mean we should beat ourselves up because we keep trying and nothing is happening, or so it seems; nor does accepting ourselves mean we should give up and say it is too hard to change.

Be encouraged! Some changes take longer than others, but they are doable. Endurance and perseverance are like cousins. They come from the same family. Just keep at it and we will get there with God’s help and great support of friends and family. We must surround ourselves with good people that God places in our lives, who will not let us quit on our journey, or ourselves. When things get tough, don’t be afraid to ask for support and help.

Our journeys are not just about us and what we have gone through in life. Our journeys affect the world around us, when we begin to live a purpose- filled life.

If we believe we are nothing and speak these words out loud, it will hinder our progress to accept necessary changes in our mind about ourselves. If we believe, speak, and see the world as cruel and cold, the world will be cruel and cold. If we believe, speak, and see God as unfair to us and others because of what we have gone through, those beliefs, words and what we have seen in our mind will become our self-fulfilled prophecy (prediction-forecast). Before we can change our bodies, we must first change our mind.

We must surrender our old negative beliefs about the way we view ourselves and the world around us. Lasting changes in our lives belong to us. Our loved ones and God will be major team players in helping us accept our change. Celebrate, celebrate change!
