There is a font on your computer that might make the HR person think you are young. That is the Arial font. It looks more modern than Times New Roman or the Georgia font. If you have your font on your word processing program set to Arial, that look could get the employer to think that he or she is not hiring a dinosaur but a younger person. The Internet often uses that font as well. So if you bang out your resume for trying to land employment at St. Louis Metro transit, Waterway carwash, Kaldi's Coffee, it could be a way to trick them into hiring an older worker.
