When the temperatures outside soar, skipping the commute and working from your air-conditioned home can be especially desirable. Fortunately, the hiring demand for some remote positions is heating up this summer.

Thatโ€™s welcome news for older job seekers who like the flexibility of working from home. According to a 2023 survey from AARP Research, 44 percent of workers age 40 and older prefer hybrid and remote work to full-time in-office roles.

I am glad this article is about OLDER folks, thank you AARP for "remembering" us with you now accepting Age 18+ as members.

As far as Remote Work, NEVER liked it and still DO NOT at age 67.

As a "youngster" NEVER had the "equipment" to do so even IF I wanted to.

My daughter does and luvs being at home. She now contracts as an AI TUTOR. Had to ask what that was. Teaching the computer to be smarter. She was one of the HUNDREDS who got "laid off" from L3Harris in Melbourne, Florida. Five years of hardwork to end up with SAME DAY layoff. Times have changed as I use to work for them BEFORE the "merger". Harris Corporation CARED about their employees and I had 9 good years with them. My daughter was 10 when I got laid off for the 2nd time. 1st time I was able to TRANSFER. The 2nd time, there was NO slots open. Yes, they "layoff" EVERY time they lose a Government Contract or DONOT win a BID for one.

GOOD LUCK to all the folks who are NEEDING jobs!!!
