I cannot let this day (11/11) - or ANY day - go by without thanking my father for his service to our country.  He is 97, in good health, and lives in rural Vermont.  (My mother died about four months ago.)  He is a retired mechanic who served in the Army Air Corps repairing planes in World War II.  He still loves tinkering with engines and drives somewhere every day (he just got a four-year renewal of his VT driver's license!).  My personal freedom in my homeland has hinged on his service to the United States of America more than seven decades ago, and beyond that because he was in the Reserves for many years following his service.  With love and appreciation I say, THANK YOU DAD!
