If you remember Sky King, you should remember Fury and My Friend Flicka!  Other Saturday morning specials.

Do you remember who preceeded Andy Divine?

The answer, "Smilin" Ed McConnell.

Don't believe me?

Look it up

Don't remember Ted Mack's Amateur Hour, but do you remember Andy Devine's show?  My brother LOVED the "pluck your magic twanger, Froggie".  Strange, yes, but what a memory to make me laugh.

Loved the poetry quoting mercenary, Paladin. But my favorite westerns were the neglected Sam Peckinpah "Westerner"  with Brian Keith and the melancholy "Outlaws"..

So true about times being much less complicated. I miss those days and those shows.

I was once in the audience. Probably in the mid 50s. I was in NY city with my parents. Great memories. Times were much less complicated then.

I grew up with Television - Uncle Miltie, Howdy Doody, Sky King.  My favorite show was the Red Skelton Show where he always ended with a "God Bless!:
