@JoyaDe - loved the show. I think the best homage to "Our Miss Brooks" was done by Eve Arden herself - as the principal of Rydell High in "Grease". Remember that she encouraged us all to be athletic supporters.

By the Bye - Rydell High was Venice High School in Los Angeles. I lived near there and watched a scene being filmed.

Was anyone out there a fan of "Our Miss Brooks"?  I certainly was. It's amazing to me how often I saw the actors and actresses from that show on other programs over the following years.

@w972822m Thanks for the correction - I wondered after my post if I had mixed "wife" and "life". Blessings to you and yours.

The thme music for the early 1950's sitcom 'I married Joan' went something like this:

I married Joan,

what a girl, what a world, what a life,

evening and day she keeps my heart lovin',

and that's why I married Joan,

and that's all I remember

Corky on 'Circus Boy' was played by Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees.

Have to confess - I looked it up. What is wild about the name: each generation would have one child with the name Jae X. (Xavier?) Brands. That child could not go by simply X. Brands until the one in the previous generation had passed away. Amazing tradition.

A young man named Lee Aker played Rusty. Can't help you with Lt. Brown.

Do you remember Circus Boy? Do you know who played the boy, Corky? I'll give you a clue; he grew up to be a Monkee.

"I married Joan. What a girl, what a world, what a life." Don't remember the rest, but thanks for the memory trigger.

I remember watching it with my sister before bed time. We also watched The People's Choice with Jackie Cooper of Little Rascals fame.
