American Idol: A show with a stupid age limit

Several years ago like in the year 2000 or 2001, a show that was to appear on Fox was called American Idol and when it came for auditions, there were no place for those over 50.  Back then, the maxiumum age limt was 25.  Then a few years later, they rasied the upper age limit but it wasn't raised high enough.  They only rased it to 28.  Sherman Pore first tried and was turned away.  Then he and his wife or lady love wrote a petition to get the audition supervisor to toss the maximum age limit of 28 out with the trash.  The petition gained quite a few signatures and it was enough to get the audition supervisor's attention.  So for season 6, at the age of 64, Sherman was permitted to audition.  Many of the American idol fans heard his audition and they thought that the maximum age limit of 28 was stupid.  Then once he sounded great, someone on a website created another petition or something to let him perform for the finalie.  I voted for Sherman.  American Idol kept the maximum age limit and fans were not happy so the audience dropped.  And for a while it was over on Fox.  Then they came back on but on ABC.  We hoped that maybe loosing some fans would teach them a lesson.  But it didn't.  America's Got Talent is a much better show since that show does not have an upper age limit.  On America's Got Talent which aires on NBC will even take patrons that are even in their 90s to audition and be on that show.  On America's Got Talent, there was a man at the age of 74 that sang and he gained a ton of votes!!!
