The answer to that question is complicated and highly individual. โYou can claim Social Security as early as age 62, but many personal finance experts tell their clients to put off filing for benefits as long as possible. This strategy will maximize your monthly payments, but that's not necessarily the end of the discussion.

I had PLANNED on working as long as I could and/or folks would hire me. Yes, AGE DISCRIMATION is still with us oldsters.
Anyway, COVID arrived in 2020, the year I turned 62.
My then employer was NOT concerned about Employee Safety, so I figured it was time to retire. WAY TOO MANY old people were "dying" from COVID in my location. ๐ฑ
