I am having a big issue with Lakewood SSA. I've been on disability for 35+ years and have never had any issues till I moved to Colorado. I need help and can't find anyone to advocate for me. In May of 2024 I went to pay my bills and found that I did not receive my benefits, so I went to SSA to find out why.I was told that they had seen me to nolonger be disable and closed my account. I pulled up my last disability review that said I was done in 2019 which stated i was still disabled. Was told that was an old one. I then found out that they were sending mail to an old address under further checking SSA realized that they had my current address and didnt know why they were using an old one. So i thought nice we get this cleared up reinstate my benifits and go from their.;'Nope'. So i asked to fill out a request for reconsideration'. was told it wouldbe denied do to being past the 30 day window. how was i suppose to know that you were sending iit to a different address . no response so i filled one out anyway he said if i wanted my ssi back I would have to reapply for disability. He then handed me a packet said fill it out return it to me and i will expediate the return of your benefits So I did and wrote i sign under duress That was May 31. I did not hear anything back from SSA til the end of Sept after repeated request for a appeal ,a request to see someone to go over my account to ahaveing a formal conferance about this Nothing .after repeatably calling to see if their was any news I was able to speak to alady who said she was going over my packet and everthing was in order besides the paper to expediate my benefit returned . said i would get my benefits til a decision on my case was found . Oct2024 I recieved a portion of my back benefits with a letter stating i would get the rest in 6 months .then inDec2024 i recieved numerous packet relaese of info and appointments i needed to go to.I did all of them by Feb2025 I was found to be totally disabled and their was no need to do a disability hearing then i got a leetter stated i have an over payment and they plan on taking 98.30 from my March benefits to pay $1345.00 back and that they had allready taken and or waved $8945. leaving the $1345.00.said this accured Sept 1/2024 and Oct 1/2024 and that they decide on amounts i get paid by the moneys i had 2 months pryer well that would have been July and Aug and i had $00.00 income for both of those months . Then another letter stated that they had closed my account due to i was on a ticket to work program and never got an EN? i have no idea what they are talking about and this has been going on no for years their repeated mistakes to my account has caused me to lose my home all my belongings put me in debt and none of it was due to me they had my current address ,my email ,my phone and my online SSA account and noneof those were utilized. this is just the most recent issue I've had with Lakewood SSA as Ive said Ive requested to sit and go over my account ive brought documents to them showing them their mistakes Ive even had an appeal were the person said she found numerous errors on my file and i was to have my ssi reinstated and SSA ignored their own appeals. so I'm at a loss. . I can't keep going through this no attorneys will help I don't have any money and i need help I have all the documents to support my issues, and their mistakes please help
