It’s a pretty good raise this year.  I seldom got that percentage raise when I was employed.  It’s even better when you add in the fact that I will double it at the casino!  🎲🃏

I didn't realize (but I'm also not surprised) that cost-of-living adjustments don't necessarily happen every year. I wonder what factors determine that?

I mean, I have some educated guesses...I'm a healthy adult in my 30s and I have full-time employment. Because it's not something I currently need, I never learned much about it.

No doubt it happens a lot, people expecting someone with an AARP moniker to be an expert on all things old. I look at AARPRachel post as an audience engagement question. Hoping to spark an interest and get the community involved in a conversation. And it worked. Here I sit. Good job AARPRachelA.

I used to believe @GailL1 aged into her understanding of Social Security but then I found out she isn’t a day over her mid-30’s either. I DO KNOW she is capable of doing a deep dive on the subject of Social Security. And all I can offer is this link  SS cost of living

😘HA, HA - I only just play "old" in my TV role  😀 -  take that 30 and multiply it by 2 and then add another 15 (maybe more)  . . . . what lady tells her real age?  I am no longer "carded" 😏

@GailL1  I’d have to remove both of my shoes and use my other 10 digits to count as high as you claim. So, I’ll just leave it as it’s none of my business.
