Can I have my SS benefit direct deposited to someone else's checking account. I am closing my existing checking account permanently.

NO - it has to be your account.  Guardians use FBO (for benefit of - ) accounts.  POA accounts are still titled in the holders name with POA listed.  It probably could be a joint account with the beneficiary as one of the primary holders.

There is always getting your benefits via a Direct Express card.
