Are You Anxious? 2017 COLA and Medicare Part B Premium.

Message 2 of 2 (1,238 Views)

In a week or so, the Social Security Administration and HHS will annouce what, if any, Cost of Living Adjustment seniors will get in 2017 along with the related Part B premium for those who are already in Medicare Part B as well as those who are going into the system anew.

Most analysis to this point have said that any increase in the COLA will be minimal but the 3rd quarter did look a bit better, but only a bit.

I would imagine that whatever COLA increase will be eaten up by higher Part B premiums since we were spared this in 2016 due to the hold harmless clause.

Just as a caution:  You might not want to let your hopes get too high !
