I would suggest that you do some research on scams. This is an old scam, and if you were not aware, I think a bit of online, scam-education, may be in order for you.

Happened to me a week after I bought my new notebook last fall. Did not see any alerts about this until about 4 months later. They managed to steal $400 from us right before Thanksgiving last year. 😑

That scam is as old as dirt itself.

 

They also call you.

a pop up message wll appear on your computer saying there is a problem with your computer and Microsoft is alerting you to call a number an give them the ID number - it is a boiler room scam
