I'M GETTING SO MUCH SPAM, HELP

For some time now, I have been receiving about  20 unwanted “adult” emails per day. I look in your spam folder every day or two because important emails end up there often.  I use G mail on a Mac Book Air.

At 80 I’m not proficient with computers.

Do I need to buy some kind of anti SPAM program?  If so any recommendations?

The best thing I've found is to look closely at the very bottom of such emails. There almost always is a link that says unsubscribe but it can be very hard to see because of the coloring and or the size. Look at the very bottom of such emails and at the very last few lines or phrases there. Good luck! Also, instead of just deleting such messages, click to select them and the also click the "Move" option to the Junk or Spam folder.

It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

How do I stop spam emails on Gmail?
Unsubscribe from mass emails
  1. On your computer, go to Gmail.
  2. Open an email from the sender you want to unsubscribe from.
  3. Next to the sender's name, click Unsubscribe or Change preferences. If you don't see these options, follow the steps above to block the sender or mark the message as spam.
