Barclays AARP rewards Mastercard - applied by scammer in my name

I received a letter in the mail with application number and saying I have applied for an AARP  card and they need more information. I did not apply for any card and I cannot reach anyone at Barclay that this application number is a fraud. No human comes online at card services number 1-877-523-0478. I tried 1-866-419-0836 too. How should I let them know not to approve this application.

I do not know where you got those phone numbers, but I would not rely on a letter you received.  The letter itself may be bogus.  Look up barclays on the internet and call the number listed there.
