What songs from the 1970’s are on your playlist?

The 1970's were a great time for me, full of wonderful music to go along with the best decade of my life. So many songs to choose from, but I will start with one of my all time fav Fleetwood Mac songs "Go your own way" from the incredible Rumours album, recorded in 1977. I am pretty sure I wore this album out!!

My brother made me a flashdrive of music for my car. It has everything on there I could ever want because I told him what I wanted lol. It's divided into different genres also so right now I'm listening to classic rock from the 70's, an excellent mix of tunes. Two I heard today that I love: "Blinded by the light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band from 1976 and "The Joker" by the Steve Miller Band from 1973, which has the best pick up line of alltime- "You're the cutest thing that I ever did see, I really love your peaches, want to shake your tree" Such a cleverly written song and I always loved that verse  😍💜🍑

Though I don't play them as often, I still have a nice collection of Elvis albums. When I do play them, it's beginning to end because they are so good.

Elvis: As Recorded at Madison Square Garden (1972, I wore out the vinyl and then got the CD)

Aloha from Hawaii: Via Satellite (1973) *

Burning Love (a compilation of 1971, 1972 recordings that were remastered a rereleased as an album CD in 1999, a great collection btw)

Moody Blue (1977, sadly, his last album)

* How many others watched it beaming live to your tv set? Remember? Satellite streaming was the new technology of the day, and the tv stations were worried something might go wrong! Nothing like this had ever been attempted for broadcast. Very exciting, will never forget it, it was perfect!

@BobH07  Have so enjoyed your postings! Your musical tastes are very similar to mine. There are sooo many songs out there from the 70's- are you sure you're done? Lol Personally, I have three more years to post about (if you've been following my postings by year, interspersed with some of my favs) But definitely start a thread about the 80's if you wish, I will join in on that one too!!
